GCC Locations in India.
The 2026 city guide.
Where your GCC is located determines your talent pool, your cost structure, and your retention rate. Here is the complete city-by-city guide for India’s GCC locations in 2026.
How to Choose a City
City selection is a
domain decision, not a geography decision.
The right city for your GCC depends on your AI domain, your team size, your cost requirements, and your retention priorities. The city that is right for a medical imaging computer vision team is different from the city that is right for a fintech LLM team. Miracle Global’s Distributed Capability Network™ covers 20+ cities — we recommend the one that optimises for your specific mandate.
Bangalore — Tier 1
Deepest AI ecosystem in India. Home to Google DeepMind India, Microsoft Research, Amazon Science, and 200+ AI startups. Best for: LLM engineering, AI research, MLOps, computer vision. Highest cost (₹30–55 LPA for senior LLM engineers). Highest attrition (35–45%). For: Enterprise GCCs and AI Labs requiring the deepest senior talent pool.
Hyderabad — Tier 1
Second-largest GCC hub. Strong enterprise AI, data science, and healthcare AI. Microsoft Azure and Amazon ML presence. Lower cost and attrition than Bangalore. For: Enterprise GCC, data-science-heavy teams, healthcare AI, and fintech AI. Strong for regulated industries.
Pune — Tier 2 ★ Recommended
Recommended for most Nano and Micro GCCs. Strong mid-to-senior AI engineering talent across most domains. 35–40% lower cost than Bangalore. Attrition 15–20%. Close to Mumbai for client travel. Best balanced option for most mandates. For: Any AI domain — particularly LLM, MLOps, AI automation, and data science.
Chandigarh — Tier 2
Punjab/Haryana AI corridor. Strong NIT and PEC talent pipeline. Growing AI engineering community. Good for North India preference. Lower cost than Pune. For: Nano GCC, Micro GCC — particularly AI engineering and data science teams.
Kochi — Tier 2
Kerala’s tech hub. Particularly strong for HealthTech AI and data science. Low cost, low attrition. Strong for regulated industries needing domain-specific AI. For: Vertical AI Lab, HealthAI GCC, data science teams.
Indore — Tier 2
Central India’s fastest-growing tech hub. Lowest all-in cost in the Miracle Global network. Strong for AI automation and data engineering. Growing engineering talent base. For: AI Automation Pod, Nano GCC — particularly cost-sensitive mandates.
Tier 1 vs Tier 2 Decision
The retention argument
changes the economics.
The cost difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities is real — 40–55% lower all-in cost in Tier 2. But the retention difference is equally important and less often discussed.
Tier 1 Cities
Bangalore, Hyderabad
35–45%
annual attrition rate
At 40% attrition on a 30-person team — 12 people leave per year. 12 onboarding cycles. 12 knowledge transfer gaps. Ongoing cost and disruption to institutional capability.
Tier 2 Cities ★ Recommended
Pune, Chandigarh, Kochi
15–22%
annual attrition rate
At 18% attrition on a 30-person team — 5 to 6 people leave per year. Manageable. The team’s institutional knowledge deepens. The capability compounds.
The Difference
Over 3 years, 30-person team
~21
fewer replacement hires in Tier 2
Each replacement costs 50–80% of annual salary in recruitment and onboarding. Tier 2 saves significantly more than the headline cost difference suggests.
